Our award winning programs offer an innovative blended learning approach that combines elearning modules with face to face workshops, providing support for all health professionals across all States and Territories in their workplace based clinical teaching, supervision and assessment roles.

Facilitator Training Program

We have adopted a train-the-trainer model. This involves the delivery of our nationally recognised 2 day Facilitator Training Program that includes a series of foundational workshops on the topics:

Planning Learning, Clinical Teaching, Skills Teaching, Assessment, Supporting Learners and Effective Group Teaching and several specialised workshops.

Once trained, facilitators return to their organisations and go on to deliver the Teaching on the Run workshops to their colleagues.

Clinical Supervision Workshops (Introductory, Foundation Intermediate and Advanced.

Development and delivery of other practical skills workshops and masterclass sessions to assist supervisors in building capacity and optimising their interactions and teaching methods with their students and/or colleagues.

Facilitator Training Programs

TELL Centre are seeking registrations from all  Health Professionals  across all disciplines (private, public, not for profit)  to become licensed trained facilitators for  the Teaching on the Run program (TOTR).

The 2 day training will enhance your knowledge as an educator and provide you with the resources to deliver the Teaching on the Run Program of workshops to health professionals within your clinical settings.

What is Teaching on the Run?

The Teaching on the Run (TOTR) program has been supporting health professionals involved in clinical  teaching, supervision and assessment. It is designed to enable participants to build their confidence to apply the teaching and learning principles in the clinical workplace setting. While the initial workshops targeted the medical profession, they have since been modified to suit other health professions and continue to be in high demand across Australia.

What is Facilitator Training?

The 2 day Facilitator Training Program aims to prepare facilitators to implement the TOTR program which includes six foundation topics – Planning Learning, Clinical Teaching, Skills Teaching, Assessment, Supporting Learners, Effective Group Teaching.

Content of foundation workshops

Participants will be required to complete 3-4 hours of online activities prior to attending the 2-day Facilitator Training Program. 

The fee covers the following:

  • Access to the pre-course online activities and discussion.
  • Attendance to the fully catered 2 day FTP
  • 1 year access to the TELL Centre Learning Management System, resources, evaluations and support for set up and delivery of an unlimited number of TOTR workshops

A 1-day course, focusing on learner-related, ‘point-of care’  Clinical Supervision as defined by Health Workforce Australia.

Integrating Clinical Supervision with patient/client care and ensuring safe quality supervision.
The training develops and enhances prior knowledge.

nb This workshop does not address Reflective Clinical Supervision

Target audience: Health professionals who are experienced and who have received previous training.

Our 1-Day Intermediate Level: Promoting Quality Clinical Supervision provides excellent training at an intermediate level.
